Furnished Room With Free Utilities

Комната для аренды | West Sierra Street, Phoenix, AZ, USA

My family has a room available for rent. My family consists of myself, male age thirty, my niece who is sixteen, and my dad who is sixty. The room is off to the side and isn't connected to the main house so you would hardly ever see us. About twenty feet from your room is another renter. He is very polite, clean, quiet, he keeps to himself, also he's been living with us for several years now. You 2 would be sharing your own bathroom. You'd have easy access to a fridge as well as the laundry room which separates your and the other renters rooms, your room also has a sliding glass door into the backyard. Your room has some furnishings which include a small couch, coffee table, mattress, microwave, double burner stove top, toaster oven, cloths hanger, shelf, and a computer desk with a computer chair. Things can also be taken out of the room upon request. It is sevenhundred a month for the room. Also all utilities as well as high speed internet is free. There is also a security deposit of three hundred. The cross streets of the home are thirty fifth ave and Cactus so you would be close to the freeway. There is also a very close bus stop. No criminal history of any kind is mandatory because the safety of my niece is a top priority. Proof of income is also required. No children or dogs but other small animals are okay. If you are interested please send me a message and introduce yourself stating your gender, age, occupation, and anything else you think that we would want to know. The room will be available on June 1st. Thank you for your consideration.

Prime location for fellow students

Комната для аренды | West Olive Avenue, Glendale, AZ, USA

Hi. I'm Joleen. I am friendly, open, and pleasant. I rent a 2-bedroom across the street from Glendale Community College at 59th Ave and Olive in Glendale. This is an ideal location for students. I am an online student, but I'm taking a break until spring. The apartment is spacious and sits beside one of three pools. I need a roommate for the second bedroom available immediately. The rent is $1,300 per month, and we would split that two ways. I currently pay for the internet (AT&T) and SRP. We would split that too, unless you'd prefer to use another internet company of your own choosing. The complex covers water and sewer. I'm paraplegic and spend the majority of time in my room. You'd likely come into contact with my caregiver more than with me. She's only inside the apartment for 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, in the morning to do my laundry and shopping. Eventually, she might do some cooking, but that's all. I don't typically entertain guests, but you would be welcome to and would find the apartment accommodating for doing so. The apartment complex is a gated community and is near to shopping, restaurants, and more. Please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you.

  • How many rooms for rent are available in Phoenix, AZ right now?

Roomster currently shows 265 active rooms for rent in the Phoenix search area. That mix usually includes private rooms in Central and North Phoenix, plus nearby Glendale, Tempe, and Scottsdale listings that many renters treat as part of the same commute zone. Inventory moves quickly here, especially for furnished rooms and listings with utilities included, so the number changes as new rooms go live.

  • What Phoenix neighborhoods are best for renting a room?

For a walkable city setup, most renters start with Downtown Phoenix and Roosevelt Row. Midtown and Encanto are strong for light rail access, while Arcadia, Camelback East, and Biltmore appeal to people who want a central address and shorter drives across the Valley. If price matters more than nightlife, North Phoenix and west-side areas near Glendale usually give you more room for the money.

  • How much does a room for rent cost in Phoenix?

Across current Roomster listings, the average monthly room rent in Phoenix is about $868.93. Downtown, Arcadia, and Biltmore usually sit above that line, while North Phoenix and Phoenix listings closer to Glendale or west-side commuter routes often land lower. Private bathrooms, included utilities, parking, and furnished setups are usually what move the price most.

  • Are furnished rooms easy to find in Phoenix?

Yes — furnished rooms show up consistently in Downtown Phoenix, Camelback East, Biltmore, and airport-adjacent neighborhoods. They are especially useful for people relocating for healthcare, aviation, hospitality, or short-term project work, because you can move in without building a setup from scratch. When you compare listings, check whether WiFi, parking, and laundry are included, because in Phoenix that can matter as much as the furniture.

  • What should I check before renting a room in Phoenix?

In Phoenix, the practical details matter. Confirm summer utility costs, air conditioning, parking, laundry, and commute time to I-10, I-17, SR-51, or Loop 202 before you commit. A cheaper room can stop looking cheap fast if the AC bill is separate or the drive adds 40 minutes each way.

Rooms for Rent in Phoenix, AZ: A Commuter-Friendly Guide

Searching for rooms for rent in Phoenix, AZ can feel overwhelming, especially if you want to balance budget, commute, and lifestyle. Whether you're a student, young professional, or new resident, this guide will help you understand how to find the right room rental in Phoenix. We'll cover options like private rooms, sublets, and furnished spaces while highlighting what to consider before committing.

What Makes Phoenix, AZ a Good Place to Rent a Room

Phoenix offers a variety of room rental options suitable for different lifestyles and budgets. Its expanding public transit system and multiple campuses make it attractive for students and professionals alike. Affordable room rentals, including month-to-month and short term leases, are common, especially in areas with convenient access to downtown and public transit. Many renters appreciate the option of house shares or shared apartments that help reduce living costs while providing community.

Depending on your commute needs, neighborhoods with strong transit connections or proximity to campus can significantly improve daily life.

How to Narrow Down Rooms for Rent in Phoenix, AZ

Start by defining your priorities: budget, commute, and amenities. Phoenix neighborhoods vary widely in rental price and transit accessibility. For example, areas near campus or central Phoenix often have more furnished and utilities included rooms, while suburban zones may offer more house shares or private bathrooms.

  • Look for listings with utilities included to simplify monthly budgeting.
  • Consider sublets or subleases if you need flexibility or short term stays.
  • Filter by room features such as private bathrooms or furnished rooms to suit your comfort.

Using Roomster’s filters, you can quickly compare shared apartments and house shares to find what fits your lifestyle and commute preferences.

What to Compare Before Renting a Room

When evaluating rooms for rent in Phoenix, AZ, focus on lease terms, move-in dates, and roommate preferences. A month-to-month lease or short term rental offers flexibility but may come with different deposit requirements than longer leases.

Ask about laundry access, parking availability, and how utilities are handled. Ensure that the listing’s move-in date aligns with your schedule to avoid overlaps or gaps.

Remember to clarify roommate expectations about noise, guests, and cleanliness to avoid future conflicts.

How to Avoid Common Room Rental Mistakes in Phoenix, AZ

Protect yourself by carefully reviewing listings and communication. Roomster offers an address check feature to help confirm legitimate listings. Avoid sending payments before meeting or signing a lease and be cautious with listings that seem too good to be true.

Always meet potential roommates or landlords in person or via video call to discuss terms and expectations clearly. Document all agreements in writing, and keep copies of your ID and lease documents for safety.
