Female Roommate wanted

Stanza in affitto | Orange, CA, USA

Hi everyone! 😊 I’m currently looking for a female roommate who would be interested in applying with me for a 2-bedroom apartment at Cameo Apartments in Orange. A little about me — I’m Celeste! I’m a working professional in the architecture/design industry. Work occupies a lot of my time, and outside of that I enjoy going out with friends, trying new restaurants, spending time with family, and I travel quite a bit whenever I get the chance. At home, I’m pretty laid-back and really value having a clean, comfortable, and peaceful space. I’m friendly, respectful, and easygoing, and I’d ideally like to find someone who is similar — clean, considerate, communicative, and responsible. I’d also prefer to live with someone who does not have cats or dogs. I’ve actually lived at Cameo Apartments before and really enjoyed living there. I’ve looked at quite a few other complexes since, but haven’t found another one I like as much, so I’d love to move back. I’m hoping to find someone who would be interested in applying for a 2-bedroom with me ASAP, although I can be a little flexible on timing for the right person. If you’re looking for a place in the Orange/OC area and think we might be a good fit, feel free to message me! I’d be happy to chat, exchange Instagrams, and meet up beforehand to get to know each other. 😊

Private room and Private bath

Stanza in affitto | Santa Ana, CA, USA

I have a 10ft by 15.5 ft room excluding closet that takes up one wall in the room with sliding mirror doors with private bathroom and shower in a second floor unit. Located about 5 minutes from John Wayne airport and about 6 minutes from South Coast Plaza. Includes one parking space for the open parking spaces in the community, which are on a first come first serve basis. This community is Reserve At South Coast and is a gated community. I do have a friendly, large, emotional support dog at approximately 54 pounds. He can be skittish around newer people, but once he grows to like you, he will always like you. You will need to qualify with the apartment to be approved, however, I have good credit so it should be easy for someone else to be approved to live with me. I am interested in renewing the lease for the December 1 deadline, if you would like to join me for a 12 month period. Previous roommate was my mother and she is moving back in with my father so she is still in the process of moving her stuff out. The room will be unfurnished. Washer and dryer are located in the unit. Apartment complex has multiple pools, a Jacuzzi, a gym and a weight room, a barbecue area and a fire pit. I am a working professional with a hybrid job, so I do tend to be home most of the time and working from my own room, however, my job is salary with a nonprofit so my hours can vary based on the projects or needs that I have to get done. Kitchen and living room are fully furnished. I’m looking for a person who is reliable and can pay their rent on time. Move in date can be flexible and I would like to meet beforehand to ensure we are a good match. I do tend to use the kitchen and living room regularly and daily. My dog likes to switch between the living room and my room to hang out and relax. Parking space is including in cost. Utilities ask for would be approximately $75 a month extra.

Domande frequenti

  • How many rooms for rent are available in Tustin, CA right now?

A decommissioned Marine Corps air station is quietly rewriting this city's housing. Tustin Legacy covers about 1,600 acres of the former MCAS Tustin, roughly 1,000 of which are already developed, and it is planned for more than 9,000 homes over the next decade. That split shows up in every search here: 92780 is the older city around Old Town and 92782 is Tustin Ranch and the new Legacy blocks. Roomster has 78 rooms for rent posted around Tustin, spread across both halves plus the streets off Newport Avenue and Red Hill.

  • How much does a room for rent in Tustin cost per month?

Rooms run about $900 to $1,750 a month, with most listings between $1,050 and $1,250 and the average near $1,300. The top of that band is usually a private bed and bath in one of the newer townhomes rather than an ordinary bedroom. You can find rooms under $1,000 a month in Old Town Tustin and the older 92780 streets off Newport Avenue and Yolanda Way. Set against a Tustin one-bedroom at roughly $2,200, a room is well under half, and in a city where whole houses average $5,300 it is the only realistic entry point for a single earner.

  • Which Tustin neighborhoods have the cheapest rooms for rent?

The pre-base-closure city is the affordable half. Old Town Tustin and the surrounding 92780 grid, where the housing is older and smaller and the streets are lined with the sycamores that earned the city its City of Trees nickname, holds the cheapest rooms. Prices climb as you move east across State Route 55 into Tustin Ranch, and again into the newest Tustin Legacy blocks in 92782, where rooms sit in recently built townhomes with community amenities priced into the rent. If the number matters more than the finish, search west of the 55.

  • Can I find a room for rent near the Tustin Metrolink station?

Yes, and it is one of the few Orange County suburbs where that genuinely helps. The Tustin Metrolink station sits on the Orange County Line, putting Anaheim, Santa Ana and Irvine within a short ride and Los Angeles reachable without driving the I-5. The rooms nearest it are in the eastern part of the city off Edinger Avenue and the Legacy side. OCTA buses handle local trips and the I-5 and State Route 55 cross here. A room within walking distance of the station is worth paying a little more for if your commute runs up the line.

  • Can I find a room for rent in Tustin if I work in Irvine?

This is the most common reason people search rooms here, and the numbers explain why. Tustin and Irvine share a border, and part of Tustin Legacy actually sits inside Irvine city limits, yet the median rent in Irvine runs about $4,800 against $2,794 in Tustin. For the same commute, often a ten-minute drive or one Metrolink stop, a Tustin room costs a fraction of an Irvine one. Say which Irvine business park or campus you report to when you message a host, since Tustin households are entirely used to that pattern and it makes your commute legible immediately.

  • What should I check before renting a room in Tustin?

Ask when the building went up, because in this city that single answer tells you the likely utility bill, whether there are association charges baked into the household's costs, and which side of the 55 you are on. Then the standard protections: California caps most security deposits at one month's rent, requires it back within 21 days with an itemized statement, and requires photographs behind any deduction. Confirm whether you would be on the lease or renting from the occupant, and see the room in person or on video before sending money.

How to Rent a Room in Tustin, CA: A Practical Guide

If you want to rent a room in Tustin, CA, understanding the local options and key factors can make your search more effective. Whether you prefer a private room, a shared space, or need utilities included, knowing what to expect regarding budget, commute, and lease terms will help you find a good fit.

What Makes Tustin, CA a Good Place to Rent a Room

Tustin offers a range of room rentals appealing to students, young professionals, commuters, and new residents. The city balances suburban comfort with access to workplaces and educational campuses, making it a practical spot for various renters. Depending on your priorities, you can find private rooms or shared rooms with features like utilities included or private bathrooms, often near transit routes.

Think about your daily routine when choosing a room. If you commute, a room near public transit or major roads can save time. Students may look for easy campus access, while those valuing privacy might prioritize rooms with private bathrooms or furnished options, which typically come at a higher price.

How to Narrow Down Rooms for Rent in Tustin, CA

Focus your search on neighborhoods and room features that suit your budget and lifestyle. Filtering for utilities included can simplify monthly expenses, and selecting rooms near transit stops helps reduce commute times.

  • Private room vs shared room: Consider your need for privacy against your budget.
  • Bathroom type: Private bathrooms offer more comfort but can increase rent.
  • Lease terms: Flexible options like sublets or month-to-month rentals help if your move-in date or stay duration is uncertain.
  • Parking: Important if you have a car or expect visitors.

Applying these filters on Roomster can help you find listings tailored to your preferences in Tustin.

What to Compare Before Renting a Room

Align your budget with rent and any additional expenses such as utilities. Review lease details including move-in dates and duration. Check if the room is furnished and clarify roommate preferences to avoid surprises.

Roomster listings include options for ID and address checks, which add confidence to your search. Still, be cautious about payment requests before meeting landlords or roommates. Evaluate the room's location for transit access, campus proximity, or downtown convenience to fit your lifestyle.

How to Avoid Common Room Rental Mistakes in Tustin, CA

Protect yourself by choosing listings that offer screening options like ID checks. Avoid sending money before meeting landlords or roommates in person and establishing clear communication. Carefully review lease agreements and confirm security deposit requirements upfront.

Discuss expectations openly with potential roommates to ensure compatibility and reduce conflicts. Be wary of listings with vague details or unusually low rent, which may indicate issues.
