Looking for a Female Roommate

Kwarto para sa rentahan | North Dearing Avenue, Fresno, CA, USA

Hi, my name is Nicole. I live in a large 3 bedroom house. I have (2) bedrooms that are fully furnished. I am looking for a female roommate or a family to move in. The rent is $1,200 (for one person). This covers pest control, the gardener, Wi-Fi, PG&E, and trash. You will have your own private room and bathroom. I am looking for someone who is clean. No smoking. No drama. No parties. You will also have your own private living room that is HUGE! I have seen it turned into a bedroom, an office, a gaming room, and a playroom. You have lots of possibilities for how to personalize & customize your private space. The house is large enough that it really feels separate. The only shared space is the kitchen. I split everything in half (half the fridge & freezer is yours, and pantry). I work at a high school. I am home after work, and off and on throughout the weekends. I am extremely tidy, and need someone who is the same, and respects the home. This neighborhood is quiet, safe, and minutes from Fresno State. I am easygoing. You will have your own bedroom, living room, and bathroom. There is privacy. The laundry room and kitchen are shared. My home has the space, and privacy where we have our own living rooms and bathrooms. Please reach out to me if you are interested and have any questions:). I am happy to give a tour of the home. This is a great central location. Extremely close to Fresno State, & multiple hospitals. Thanks!

  • How many rooms for rent are available in Fresno, CA right now?

Roomster currently shows 48 active rooms for rent across Fresno. That inventory spans Tower District, Edison, Bullard, Downtown, Clovis, Hoover, Pinedale, and surrounding areas, with renters often comparing neighborhoods based on proximity to Fresno State, workplace commute, and rent budget. Fresh room listings move quickly when they include furnished setup, utilities covered, or parking.

  • What are the best Fresno neighborhoods to rent a room?

That depends on lifestyle and commute priorities. Tower District appeals to renters seeking walkable urban energy and downtown dining. Edison and Bullard offer newer, family-friendly neighborhoods with good schools. Clovis attracts professionals relocating from the Bay Area and those seeking suburban amenities. Hoover and Pinedale provide affordable options with reasonable commute access. Near Fresno State areas work well for students and those seeking convenient campus proximity.

  • How much does a room for rent cost in Fresno, CA?

Across current Roomster listings, room rent in Fresno typically ranges from $500-$800/month depending on neighborhood, furnished status, and utilities included. Tower District and Bullard often run toward the higher end ($650-$800); Hoover, Pinedale, and outer areas tend to offer better value ($500-$650). Furnished status, utilities covered, and proximity to employers usually account for the largest price differences.

  • Can I find furnished or all-bills-paid rooms in Fresno?

Yes. Furnished and all-bills-paid room listings appear regularly on Roomster, especially near Fresno State, Downtown, and Bullard where students, relocating professionals, and short-term assignments drive demand for move-in-ready spaces. Those listings often include utilities, WiFi, and sometimes parking. Just confirm exactly what is included - utilities, furnishings, parking, and lease length - before committing.

  • What should I check before renting a room in Fresno?

In Fresno, confirm parking availability, utility split, air conditioning (essential in summer), furnished status, pet rules, and commute time to your workplace or Fresno State before you commit. That matters even more if you're comparing Tower District (walkable urban) with Bullard or Clovis (quieter, newer). Proximity to employers in tech, agriculture, healthcare, or education often makes a bigger difference in daily satisfaction than neighborhood prestige.

  • What is the best roommate finder app in Fresno, CA?

Roomster is one of the top options for finding rooms for rent in Fresno, CA. With screening, filters for budget, neighborhood, and commute, and direct messaging with hosts, it helps you navigate Fresno's diverse room market efficiently without broker friction.

Room for Rent in Fresno, CA: What Commuters Should Know Before Searching

If you're searching for a room for rent in Fresno, CA, whether you're a student, young professional, or new resident, understanding how to align your housing needs with your daily commute and budget is key. Fresno’s diverse housing options—from private rooms to shared spaces—offer flexibility, but knowing what to prioritize can make your search smoother and more successful.

What Makes Fresno, CA a Good Place to Rent a Room?

Fresno appeals to renters who value a balance between affordability and access. Many look for rooms near downtown access or close to public transit routes to keep commute times manageable. The city’s mix of private rooms and house shares caters to a variety of lifestyles, including students seeking furnished options and professionals wanting utilities included. Understanding your roommate preferences and commute needs can help you find a room that fits your daily routine.

How to Narrow Down Rooms for Rent in Fresno, CA?

Start by focusing on neighborhoods that support your lifestyle and commute. Prioritize areas with good public transit and walkability if you don’t have a car. Consider whether you want a private room or a room share, and check if the listing includes utilities or parking. Filtering listings by lease flexibility, such as month-to-month or sublease rooms, can also help accommodate your move-in timeline.

  • Look for rooms with utilities included to simplify budgeting.
  • Check bathroom type and laundry availability to match your comfort needs.
  • Consider pet friendly rooms if you have animals.
  • Explore house share options if you prefer a community living environment.

What to Compare Before Renting a Room

Compare listings by budget, lease terms, and privacy. Private rooms typically cost more but offer greater privacy and often include private bathrooms. Shared rooms or house shares can reduce costs but require compatible roommate preferences. Make sure to clarify move-in dates and lease lengths to avoid surprises. Pay attention to screening requirements such as ID check processes to ensure your application is prepared.

How to Avoid Common Room Rental Mistakes in Fresno, CA?

Always confirm the legitimacy of a listing by communicating through secure channels and avoiding upfront payments without proper documentation. Use Roomster’s ID check feature to help confirm the identity of landlords or roommates. Meet potential roommates or landlords in person or via video calls before committing. Be cautious about sharing sensitive documents and never wire money before signing a lease or agreement.
