My Comfy Home

Комната для аренды | South 24th Street, San Jose, CA, USA

Hello. I have one large rooms that I’m looking to rent out now or in the near future in a house with an upper and lower level. I remodeled the inside of the house and just finished remodeling the outside as well. The whole house is powered by a Tesla solar roof and has a whole house filtered water system with water softener and an Osmosis filtration for drinking water. The kitchen has upper and lower cabinets, stainless steel appliances, stovetop/oven, granite counter tops, microwave, two fridges, and a dishwasher. The main bathroom has new flooring, and includes a shower/tub combo, while the second bathroom is attached to the newly built laundry room. The laundry room has full size washer and dryer as well as multiple clothing racks with plenty of drying space should you choose to air dry clothing as well. There is tile flooring throughout the house, except in the bedrooms, which now have wooden flooring. Both bedrooms come with a smart TV, bed with all bedding, sliding mirror closet, a window and is also next to the bathroom. Full access to the kitchen and laundry room as well. I’m including free utilities such as wireless internet, water, garbage, electricity included. My house is near the freeways and a couple of blocks from SJSU if your an attending student.

Roomster currently shows 130 active rooms for rent across the San Jose search area. That inventory usually includes Downtown San Jose, Japantown, Willow Glen, Berryessa, North San Jose, Rose Garden, Communications Hill, Santa Clara, and nearby commuter zones. Good room listings move quickly here, especially when they include parking, a private bath, or a furnished setup.

  • What are the best San Jose neighborhoods to rent a room?

For a more central setup, many renters start with Downtown San Jose, Japantown, and the Diridon corridor. Willow Glen and Rose Garden work well for people who want quieter residential streets, while Berryessa, North San Jose, Evergreen, and Communications Hill often make more sense for commute-driven searches. Nearby Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Milpitas also show up often in the same room search because city lines matter less than daily travel time.

  • How much does a room for rent cost in San Jose?

Across current Roomster listings, the average monthly room rent in San Jose is about $1,300.34. Rooms near SJSU, Downtown, Japantown, North San Jose, and newer transit-linked apartment communities often run above that average, while some outer neighborhoods and nearby city-edge areas can offer better value. Parking, a private bath, and whether the room is furnished usually make the biggest difference.

  • Can I find furnished rooms in San Jose near SJSU or Diridon?

Yes. Furnished room demand is especially strong around Downtown San Jose, SJSU, Japantown, and the Diridon Station area, where students, interns, short-term tech hires, and relocation searches tend to cluster. Just compare the full setup closely, including parking, WiFi, laundry, and utility split, because in San Jose those details can change the value fast.

  • What should I check before renting a room in San Jose?

In San Jose, confirm parking, laundry, utility split, pet rules, and commute time to VTA, Caltrain, Berryessa BART, 101, 280, or 87 before you commit. That matters even more if you need regular access to SJSU, Downtown, Diridon, North San Jose, or nearby Santa Clara County job hubs. A room that looks affordable on paper can feel very different once transit or parking becomes part of daily life.
