Quarto para alugar | S Valencia, Mesa, AZ, USA
I am a working professional who keeps a pretty calm and respectful home. I work 40+ hours a week and not home too often, I’m friendly and social, but I also value having a comfortable home where everyone can relax and have their own space. I love wine, cooking when I actually have the time, planning events, taking my dog to the dog park, trying new places to eat and traveling! You’ll be sharing the home with me and my pets plus an additional male roommate in his early 30’s who also works full time. Originally from SoCal. He’s very laid-back, loves music, easy-going, and respectful. He mostly keeps to himself and does his own thing, but he’s friendly and always open to chatting, grabbing a drink, lending a hand or having an occasional movie night. Overall, he’s pretty low-key and easy to live with. I’m looking for someone who works full time - is responsible, respectful, clean, and considerate of shared spaces. A good balance of being social while respecting each other’s privacy is ideal. The house is best suited for someone who wants a comfortable, peaceful place to live rather than a party house.

1 large bedroom for rent in house
Quarto para alugar | West Tulsa Street, Chandler, AZ, USA
I’m 44 female with a cat, looking for a roommate (male or female) within my age range or a mature adult. I live alone. I prefer non smokers/non drinkers, if you do drink, it is not allowed on the premises. I live quietly, calmly and prefer a roommate who is stable, reliable and self aware. I value transparent communication. No pets, no kids, only looking for 1 person to fill the space. My home is not for squatters or part timers looking to get their life together, my home is open for a person authentically looking for a stable, safe, comfortable environment and committed to signing a lease for a year. Studio so shared space.
Quarto para alugar | Mesa, AZ, USA
I have a studio that's pretty old but close to Rio salado. Has an old stove and standing bathroom shower and small closet. This is pretty close to the type of setup they'd do at ASU with two people sharing one room. You'd live with me, theres enough space to have one side for twin beds and the other side for desks or a dresser. I don't drink or smoke or have pets so preferably somone the same working or being a student. I also almost never invite anyone over. I spend almost all my time working or studying so see if somone is the same to take advantage of low rent. Also can switch to a two bedroom for 200 more each. That includes everything though as right now it's 1100 a month with everything.

Perguntas frequentes
How many rooms for rent are available in Mesa, AZ right now?
Roomster currently shows 72 active rooms for rent across Mesa. That inventory spans Dobson Ranch, Las Sendas, Downtown Mesa, Dobson Woods, Sierra Ranch, West Mesa, and surrounding areas, with renters often comparing neighborhoods based on proximity to ASU West, workplace commute, and rent budget. Fresh room listings move quickly when they include furnished setup, utilities covered, or air conditioning.
What are the best Mesa neighborhoods to rent a room?
That depends on lifestyle and budget priorities. Las Sendas appeals to renters seeking upscale, newer construction with community amenities. Dobson Ranch offers family-friendly neighborhoods with parks and good value (around $400-$700/month for rooms). Downtown Mesa attracts people wanting walkable access to restaurants and entertainment. Dobson Woods and Sierra Ranch provide newer suburban options. West Mesa offers the most budget-friendly rooms ($400-$550/month). Near ASU West areas work well for students and those seeking campus proximity.
How much does a room for rent cost in Mesa, AZ?
Across current Roomster listings, room rent in Mesa typically ranges from $400-$800/month depending on neighborhood, furnished status, and utilities included. Las Sendas and Sierra Ranch often run toward the higher end ($650-$800); West Mesa, Dobson Ranch, and outer areas tend to offer better value ($400-$600). Furnished status, utilities covered, and proximity to employers usually account for the largest price differences.
Can I find furnished or all-bills-paid rooms in Mesa?
Yes. Furnished and all-bills-paid room listings appear regularly on Roomster, especially near Downtown Mesa, ASU West, and Las Sendas where students, relocating professionals, and short-term assignments drive demand for move-in-ready spaces. Those listings often include utilities, WiFi, and sometimes parking. Just confirm exactly what is included - utilities, furnishings, parking, and lease length - before committing.
What should I check before renting a room in Mesa?
In Mesa, confirm parking availability, utility split, air conditioning (critical in summer), furnished status, pet rules, and commute time to your workplace or ASU West before you commit. That matters even more if you're comparing Downtown Mesa (walkable) with Las Sendas or West Mesa (quieter/suburban). Proximity to employers in tech, healthcare, or retail often makes a bigger difference in daily satisfaction than neighborhood prestige.
What is the best roommate finder app in Mesa, AZ?
Roomster is one of the top options for finding rooms for rent in Mesa, AZ. With screening, filters for budget, neighborhood, and commute, and direct messaging with hosts, it helps you navigate Mesa's diverse room market efficiently without broker friction.

Whether you want a private room, a furnished option, or a flexible month-to-month lease, understanding the local rental landscape and how to use Roomster effectively will make your search smoother.
What Makes Mesa, AZ a Good Place to Rent a Room
Mesa attracts a diverse group of renters, including students, young professionals, and commuters who value affordability and access to public transit. Many look for rooms near downtown or close to major highways to ease their daily commute. Rooms for rent in Mesa often range from private rooms in shared apartments to furnished sublease options, offering choices for different budgets and privacy preferences.
Considering your commute and lifestyle needs is key in Mesa, where traffic patterns and neighborhood amenities vary. Balancing convenience with rent cost can help you find a room that works well for your daily routine.
How to Narrow Down Rooms for Rent in Mesa, AZ
Start by identifying neighborhoods that align with your budget and commute priorities. For example, rooms near downtown Mesa tend to offer better access to public transit and amenities but might come at a higher price. Suburban areas may offer cheaper rooms but could require a longer commute.
- Filter listings by room type: private rooms for more privacy or shared rooms for budget savings.
- Check if utilities are included to simplify monthly expenses.
- Look for listings with flexible lease terms like month-to-month or short-term subleases if your timeline is uncertain.
- Consider parking availability if you drive.
Using Roomster’s filtering tools can help you quickly compare listings by these factors, saving time and focusing your search effectively.
What to Compare Before Renting a Room
Before committing to a room rental in Mesa, carefully compare these factors:
- Lease Terms: Understand the length of the lease and if month-to-month or sublease options are available.
- Bathroom Type: Private bathrooms offer more privacy but might come at a premium compared to shared bathrooms.
- Furnishings and Utilities: Furnished rooms with utilities included can simplify moving logistics and monthly budgeting.
- Credit and ID Checks: Be prepared for credit checks or ID screening as part of the screening process.
- Move-In Date: Align your move-in timing with the room’s availability to avoid paying extra rent.
These details affect your comfort, cost, and convenience, so take time to review listings thoroughly on Roomster.
How to Avoid Common Room Rental Mistakes in Mesa, AZ
To protect yourself during your room search, keep these precautions in mind:
- Always confirm the legitimacy of the listing and the identity of the landlord or current tenant before making payments.
- Avoid sending money before viewing the room or signing a lease agreement.
- Use Roomster’s ID check feature available on listings to increase trustworthiness.
- Communicate clearly and keep records of all messages and agreements.
- Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true; cheap rooms may have hidden costs or risks.
Taking these steps can help you avoid scams and find a safe, suitable room rental in Mesa.
