I am looking for a roommate to fill an available room in the house I am currently renting. I am a 25 year old PhD student at UA and am hoping to find another woman around my age to room with. The master bed with private bath is available in August! Here is a little about the place: -The lease starts in August and is for a year-Rent is $725 + ~$150 for utilities (down payment is only $300!)-Spacious 3br/2ba with a big backyard and lots of shed storage-Location is Hedrick Acres about 2 miles from the UA Tucson campus-Central AC and heat-Covered parking with car port-Washer and dryer in the backyard-Pet friendly with no pet fees and a fenced backyard great for small dogs-The common areas are furnished, the bedroom is unfurnished While the house has 3 bedrooms, I only plan to share the space with one other person. The spare bedroom can be used for storage or as private office/study space etc. I do have a small fish tank and some plants, but all well-behaved pets are welcome. I enjoy hiking, reading, baking, and playing video games. I am looking for a roommate that is respectful of common areas, open to clear communication, and is reasonably clean/quiet. This property features a charming historic house built in 1910 that we've owned, and operated on a per-room basis, for more than 30 years. The term is month-to-month (no long-term lease required). The house is fully renovated with modernized appliances, utilities, and conveniences, and is walking distance to the University of Arizona (4 blocks to the west side) and the Downtown area. Cafes, restaurants, bars, markets, and shopping are within walking distance, as well. The location is equally spaced between two major hospitals, approximately a 10-minute drive away. The house is fully ready to move in. Both the common areas and private rooms are fully furnished. with optional bedding (sheets, pillows, and bedspread) provided at no additional cost. The room also includes a Roku streaming TV. The cooling is central air conditioning. The heating and cooking are gas. The flooring is a mix of hardwood and Tecate Mexican tile, with an historic wood-burning fireplace complementing the large living room. The internet is super high-speed, both wired and wireless. A professional housekeeper cleans the property's common areas and bathrooms three times a month (approximately every 10 days). The rental agreement is month-to-month (no long-term lease required, 2-month minimum). You are responsible only for your room. We find the other housemates on your behalf. We rent only to mature, respectful, non-smoking, non-partying individuals (grad students and professionals preferred). As owners, we live in town approximately 25 minutes to the NE and visit the house regularly for maintenance and upkeep. The costs of utilities and a portion of housekeeping fees are split equally by all housemates. We pay for water. I’m currently living in a 4 bed/4 bath unit at Seasons Apartments (811 E Wetmore Rd, Tucson), and I’m planning to move out as I transition to a 1-bedroom unit for my final year. Rent $800/month. The first month of rent would be FREE for you! There is a shuttle that runs from 7 am - 8:30 pm Monday - Friday from the apartment to campus and it’s very reliable! I’m looking for someone to take over my lease for the upcoming academic year (with the option to extend through next summer if you’d like). The apartment is fully furnished, and the roommates are all friendly U of A undergrads (all female) and super easygoing!
