Rooms for Rent in Troutdale, OR, USA

Hi, I’m Steve, a 68-year-old semi-retired homeowner and dog lover looking for a responsible housemate or couple to share my welcoming home in Vancouver, WA. The room is available October 11 for $1,150 per month. This is an opportunity to make yourself at home, with shared use of the kitchen, living areas, laundry, and private backyard with a hot tub. I want someone who enjoys a comfortable home and takes pride in helping keep it clean, cared for, and inviting. I travel frequently, sometimes for extended periods, so the ideal housemate is dependable and comfortable looking after the home while I’m away. We would discuss and agree on any specific responsibilities beforehand. You’ll have room to settle in and enjoy the space, with mutual respect for privacy and personal boundaries. Dogs are an important part of life here. I have two of my own and also provide dog boarding, so you must enjoy being around dogs. A dog of your own is welcome if compatible with mine; no cats, please. A good fit must be:• Dog friendly• LGBTQ+ friendly• 420 friendly• Naturism friendly Naturism means occasional clothing-optional relaxation in the private backyard and hot tub. Participation is entirely optional, but you must be comfortable with that environment. I value clear communication, consideration, financial reliability, and respect for shared spaces. Individuals and couples are welcome. Screening, references, and a security deposit are required. If this sounds like your kind of home, tell me a little about yourself, your move-in plans, any pets, and what you’re looking for in a house share.

Hello, we’re a happy, active couple involved in progressive politics, hosting gatherings and more. We’ve enjoyed many housemates, including single parents, people from other countries and of diverse ages and orientations. The house is about 2200 sq feet total with lots of shared community space, i.e. front porch, dance/yoga room, kitchen/dining room/living room. Your bedroom is downstairs, furnished, 13 feet by 13 feet with a direct door to the downstairs bathroom. We’re close to Mt Tabor Park, frequent bus line FX2, and the restaurants, theater etc in Montavilla. In our house people have privacy, (it’s not just a place to crash). If you’re interested, please tell us a bit about yourself, including your experience in living with others. We will take this ad down as soon as we have found our new housemate 😊. Please include your phone number. Thanks, and warm wishes on your search!
