Need somone to take over my lease
Lugar completo | Salt Lake City, UT, USA
I am searching for someone to take over my lease for my 1 bed – 1 bath apartment in downtown Salt Lake. The base rent is $1400 a month, which is a great deal given all of the community amenities. The apartment is located on the corner of 700S and Main Streetin an apartment complex. Located less than a block from 600S Trax station, you have easy access to downtown Salt Lake, and trains heading south. Quick and easy access to I-15 North and South. It is less than 10 minutes to the Avenues neighborhood, and less than 10 minutes to the Delta Center, LDS Church Offices, and the Salt Lake Temple. The complex has insane and amazing amenities: there is a gym, a rooftop pool, hot tub, outside workout area, pickleball courts, basketbaIl courts, cabanas, two community grill areas, a clubhouse, conference rooms and an office area for residents with printer access, a beautiful courtyard, a great little market in the building for emergency essentials. The building requires a fob for access, there is also a call box for guests to contact for entry. The community is pet friendly, and well kept. The apartment has normal wear and tear from my living in it for three years, and you will not have to pay move in costs or a deposit I believe because you are added as a roommate and I would be taken off the lease. The monthly rent is $1400, and there are property random fees on top of it, which brings the monthly cost to $1667. Available but not required: I have a parking space right next to the garage door entrance, and I also have a storage unit on the property which are extra if you would like to keep them. That extra on top if you choose it comes to $145 a month. These are not required, as there is street parking, and of course you can choose to get a storage unit elsewhere.

Preguntas frecuentes
How many apartments for rent are available in Salt Lake City, UT right now?
Roomster currently shows 11 active apartment listings in Salt Lake City. That inventory typically spans Downtown, Sugar House, The Avenues, 9th and 9th, the Granary District, Liberty Wells, and nearby South Salt Lake, Millcreek, and Murray, with renters often comparing several neighborhoods by rent, commute to the U or Downtown, and transit access. Fresh apartment listings move fast when priced near market rate with clear notes on parking, heating and utilities, and distance to TRAX or I-15.
What are the best Salt Lake City neighborhoods to rent an apartment?
For walkable, social living, many renters start with Sugar House and 9th and 9th - full of restaurants, shops, and the S-Line streetcar. Downtown and the Granary District offer newer apartments near TRAX, nightlife, and the office core. The Avenues brings historic charm near the University of Utah. Liberty Wells and Central City sit central and convenient. Nearby South Salt Lake, Millcreek, and Murray attract renters who want newer complexes, more space, or better value along the TRAX line.
How much does an apartment for rent cost in Salt Lake City?
Across current Roomster listings, apartment rent in Salt Lake City typically ranges studios: $1,100-$1,450/month; 1-bedroom: $1,300-$1,700/month; 2-bedroom: $1,600-$2,200/month. Downtown, Sugar House, and newer Granary District buildings run toward the higher end; South Salt Lake, Rose Park, and older buildings near State Street tend to offer value. Parking, in-unit laundry, modern finishes, included heating, and proximity to TRAX or the University of Utah account for the largest premiums.
Can I find furnished or no broker fee apartments in Salt Lake City?
Yes. Furnished apartments and direct-to-landlord listings both appear on Roomster, especially near Downtown, the University of Utah, and the tech and finance corridors where relocations to Goldman Sachs, the Silicon Slopes employers, U of U Health, and Intermountain Health create steady demand. That is useful for people relocating to Utah, between jobs, or unwilling to furnish a place from scratch. Just compare the full move-in cost - rent, deposit, parking, heating and utilities, and any building fees - not only the advertised rent.
What should I look for before renting an apartment in Salt Lake City?
Before renting in Salt Lake City, check proximity to I-15, I-80, or a TRAX stop, parking cost and availability, whether heating and utilities are included, in-unit laundry, commute to the University of Utah or Downtown, distance to the ski canyons, and lease terms. In this market, those practical details often matter more than polished marketing copy, especially when you are comparing walkable areas like Sugar House or Downtown with value-oriented spots like South Salt Lake or Rose Park. SLC winters make included heating and a working furnace worth confirming.
What is the best apartment finder app in Salt Lake City, UT?
Roomster is one of the top apartment finder options in Salt Lake City. It connects renters with individual landlords across Downtown, Sugar House, The Avenues, 9th and 9th, the Granary District, and nearby South Salt Lake and Millcreek - with ID screening and no broker fees.
Apartments for Rent in Salt Lake City, UT: How Does Your Commute Shape Your Search?
Looking for apartments for rent in Salt Lake City, UT? Whether you’re a professional, a couple, or relocating, understanding how commute and neighborhood fit impact your housing choice is key. This guide helps you weigh apartment types, lease flexibility, and amenities to find a rental that suits your daily rhythm and budget.
What Kind of Apartment Search Makes Sense in Salt Lake City, UT?
Salt Lake City offers a range of apartment options including studios, one-bedroom, and shared apartments. Professionals and commuters often prioritize apartments with easy access to public transit and parking, while couples might look for two-bedroom units to accommodate their lifestyle. Consider how your budget aligns with desired privacy and whether furnished or pet-friendly options matter to you.
Lease terms vary widely, with some apartments offering month-to-month or short term rentals, and others requiring longer commitments. Availability dates can also influence your timing, especially if you’re relocating or need a quick move-in.
How to Compare Apartments for Rent in Salt Lake City, UT
Start by narrowing your search based on neighborhood fit and commute convenience. Areas closer to downtown or near major transit routes often come with higher rent but save commuting time. If parking is essential, filter listings to include apartments with dedicated parking spots. Laundry availability and building amenities can also impact daily comfort and costs.
Look for listings that clearly state lease terms and availability dates to avoid surprises. Shared apartments may offer more affordable rent but consider your preferences for privacy and quiet.
What Lease and Budget Factors Matter Most
Budget considerations in Salt Lake City vary by neighborhood and apartment type. Furnished apartments or those with utilities included might cost more but reduce upfront expenses. Month-to-month leases or sublet apartments offer flexibility but sometimes come at a premium. Always review lease terms carefully, especially regarding security deposits and move-in dates.
Screening processes are common; landlords or property managers may require credit checks or application fees. Being prepared with your documentation can speed up approval.
How to Avoid Costly Rental Mistakes
When renting an apartment in Salt Lake City, be cautious with document and payment requests. Avoid wiring money before signing a lease or meeting the landlord/property manager in person or via a trusted platform. Use Roomster’s ID check and address check features available on apartment listings to confirm legitimacy.
Communicate clearly about lease terms and inspect the apartment when possible before committing. If you’re considering a sublet or short term rental, confirm the current leaseholder’s permission to sublease.
