Sublet on Eastlake Terrace
Lugar completo | North Eastlake Terrace, North Side, Chicago, IL, USA
Hi there! I’m putting my apartment up for sublet in Roger’s park. Earliest move in would be Aug 16. Lease ends Feb 1. It’s a 2 bed 1 bath nicely updated unit. $2100 plus $275 for the parking space lease if you need it. Laundry is one flight down and there are 8 machines. Front window can see the sunrise in the morning over Lake Michigan. Dishwasher and stainless steel appliances, wall AC unit. Pets allowed. The description says 737 sq ft but it’s closer to 900. I think you will need to make 3X rent or proof of funds to qualify. I honestly loved this place I just bought a condo nearby that I can better fit in. DM me if you’re interested and I can give you instructions on how to apply.

How many apartments for rent are available in Aurora, IL right now?
Roomster currently shows 61 active apartment listings in Aurora. That inventory typically spans Downtown, the Fox Valley area, Eola, the near East and West Sides, and nearby Montgomery, North Aurora, and Oswego, with renters often comparing several neighborhoods by rent, commute into Chicago, and walk to the Metra station. Fresh apartment listings move fast when priced near market rate with clear notes on parking, heating and utilities, and distance to I-88 or the train.
What are the best Aurora neighborhoods to rent an apartment?
For walkable, transit-friendly living, many renters start with Downtown Aurora - close to the Fox River, the Paramount Theatre, RiverEdge Park, and the Metra terminus. The Fox Valley area and Eola offer newer apartment complexes near the mall, shopping, and I-88. The near West Side brings historic character close to Downtown. Nearby Montgomery, North Aurora, and Oswego attract renters who want newer construction, more space, or better value just outside the city center.
How much does an apartment for rent cost in Aurora?
Across current Roomster listings, apartment rent in Aurora typically ranges studios: $1,050-$1,350/month; 1-bedroom: $1,250-$1,650/month; 2-bedroom: $1,500-$2,000/month. Downtown, the Fox Valley area, and newer Eola complexes run toward the higher end; the near East Side, older buildings, and parts of Montgomery tend to offer value. Parking, in-unit laundry, modern finishes, included heating, and a short walk to the Metra account for the largest premiums in this Chicago-metro market.
Can I find furnished or no broker fee apartments in Aurora?
Yes. Furnished apartments and direct-to-landlord listings both appear on Roomster, especially near Downtown, the Metra station, and the I-88 corridor where relocations to Caterpillar, Rush Copley, Hollywood Casino, and the Fox Valley employers, plus Chicago commuters, create steady demand. That is useful for people relocating to the Fox Valley, between leases, or unwilling to furnish a place from scratch. Just compare the full move-in cost - rent, deposit, parking, heating and utilities, and any building fees - not only the advertised rent.
What should I look for before renting an apartment in Aurora?
Before renting in Aurora, check walk or commute to the Metra station, total travel time into Chicago, proximity to I-88, Route 59, or Orchard Road, parking cost and availability, whether heating and utilities are included, in-unit laundry, and lease terms. In this market, those practical details often matter more than polished marketing copy, especially when you are comparing walkable Downtown with suburban spots like the Fox Valley area or Eola. Midwest winters make included heating and a working furnace worth confirming.
What is the best apartment finder app in Aurora, IL?
Roomster is one of the top apartment finder options in Aurora. It connects renters with individual landlords across Downtown, the Fox Valley area, Eola, the near West Side, and nearby Montgomery and Oswego - with ID screening and no broker fees.
Apartments for Rent in Aurora, IL: How to Balance Commute, Budget, and Amenities
If you’re searching for apartments for rent in Aurora, IL, this guide is tailored to help professionals, couples, and relocating renters find the right fit. Whether you prioritize a short commute, affordable rent, or specific amenities, understanding your options in Aurora will make your apartment hunt more effective. From studios to one-bedroom units, furnished or flexible leases, knowing what to consider will save you time and ensure a comfortable living situation.
What Kind of Apartment Search Makes Sense in Aurora, IL?
Aurora offers a variety of apartments that suit different lifestyles and budgets. Many renters here look for convenient access to public transit and manageable commutes, especially if working in nearby Chicago or local business hubs. Studios and one-bedroom apartments tend to be popular among professionals and couples, while furnished options attract those relocating or seeking flexibility. Considering your budget alongside commute times will help narrow your search effectively.
Keep in mind that apartments with amenities such as parking and laundry facilities can add convenience but may affect monthly costs. Depending on your lifestyle, prioritizing certain amenities over others can make a meaningful difference in your day-to-day comfort.
How to Compare Apartments for Rent in Aurora, IL?
When comparing apartments in Aurora, focus on neighborhood fit and commute options first. Areas closer to transit stops or main roads generally offer easier access to work and errands, which can be a significant time saver. Look for listings that highlight features like parking availability and building amenities to match your preferences.
Filtering by apartment type—such as studio versus one-bedroom—helps refine your budget and space needs. Some listings may offer sublet or short-term lease options, which can be ideal if you need temporary housing or more flexibility. Use Roomster’s filtering tools to select these options and compare listings side by side.
What Lease and Budget Factors Matter Most?
Budgeting for an apartment in Aurora means balancing rent with additional costs like utilities, deposits, and lease terms. Apartments that include utilities or offer month-to-month leases can provide more predictable monthly expenses or flexibility, but they may come at a premium. It’s important to understand the lease length before committing to ensure it fits your plans.
Screening processes may involve credit and application checks, so be prepared with necessary documents and references. Although specific rental prices vary by neighborhood and apartment features, aiming for a balance between affordability and convenience will help you avoid surprises.
How to Avoid Costly Rental Mistakes in Aurora, IL?
To protect yourself during your apartment search, always confirm the legitimacy of listings and avoid sharing personal or payment information prematurely. Roomster offers ID and address checks for apartment listings which can add a layer of confidence.
Arrange in-person or virtual tours to assess the apartment condition and confirm amenities. Watch out for inconsistencies in communication or requests for unusual payment methods. Taking these precautions helps ensure a safer and smoother rental experience.
