Desperately need a place long term

Flatmate | Melbourne, VIC, Australia

Hey everyone, I’m posting because I’m in a really difficult situation and urgently need somewhere to stay. I’m currently living with my grandma, but the environment has become very hard to cope with and I can’t stay here any longer. I moved in after my mum passed away suddenly in 2024, which has been extremely traumatic, and I’m still working through that grief. Right now, I’m unable to work due to my mental health, but I’m receiving JobSeeker and working with my therapist to get back into work in the next few months. At the moment, I can afford $200 per fortnight, as I also need to cover costs for managing my type 1 diabetes and other medications. Once I’m back working, I’m more than happy to pay a normal rate and make up the difference. I also have a cat, Xaden, who means everything to me. He’s very clean, friendly, and great with people and other cats (just not dogs). He loves cuddles and will quickly become your best friend. I’m looking for a female household due to past trauma. I’m respectful, quiet, and happy to help with cleaning, cooking, and contributing to groceries. I don’t usually have guests over and live a low-key lifestyle. I have my own furniture and am open to any location—I just need a safe place to go. My goal is to get back on my feet, return to work, and finish my nursing diploma (about 6 months left). If anyone can help or knows someone who might, I’d be incredibly grateful. Thank you 💕
