Lease takeover - 7/2026 to 7/31/27

Ολόκληρο μέρος | Texas Street, Denton, TX, USA

I am looking for someone to take over my lease or sublet from July/August to 7/31/27. Nice 1-br apartment with vinyl flooring, large closets, big windows, and plenty of storage. I got an incredible job outside of DFW and need to move out this summer! I love this apartment and neighborhood, and as a TWU alum and former TWU adjunct professor, it’s one of the best places I’ve lived in Denton over the last decade. This place is perfect for an adjunct, grad student, upperclassman, or anyone looking for a quiet solo living space in Denton. The property is maintained by Struga Management, and they have always been communicative and nice to me, and they do a good job of maintaining the property. In the last 3 years I have lived here, my rent has also not been raised, which has been great. I really need someone to take over this lease, and I am willing to pay the first month's rent (this is contingent on being approved by the leasing office). I will also pay for a thorough professional cleaning of the apartment after I move out and provide proof of the service! It’s on the second floor, and there’s a big extra window in the kitchen. They just replaced the entire AC this year, and the fridge was replaced within the last year. The dishwasher is older, but it always works. Laundry facilities on with multiple washers and dryers. Nice and quiet neighbors. 1-Bed 1-Bath - 609 Sq FtMove In: Flexible - Anytime after July 1!!Ends: July 31, 2027Average Utilities Total: $120Internet separate. Pet Friendly! Apartments for Rent in Plano, TX: What Kind of Apartment Fits Your Lifestyle?

If you’re searching for apartments for rent in Plano, TX, understanding how to balance budget, apartment type, and neighborhood fit is key. Whether you’re a professional, a couple relocating, or a commuter, knowing what to expect can help you find a place that suits your lifestyle and needs. This guide covers important factors like lease flexibility, amenities, and timing so you can confidently rent your next apartment in Plano.

What Kind of Apartment Search Makes Sense in Plano, TX?

Plano’s apartment market offers options ranging from studio units to two-bedroom apartments, often managed by private landlords or property management companies. Affordable apartments in Plano, TX tend to be more available in neighborhoods farther from downtown, while areas closer to main transit routes may lean toward higher rents but better commute options. Depending on your budget and lifestyle, consider whether a furnished or unfurnished unit fits your needs, and if short-term or month-to-month leases provide the flexibility you want.

Professionals and commuters often prioritize apartments with parking and laundry amenities to streamline daily routines. Couples relocating to the area might look for one-bedroom or two-bedroom apartments that offer privacy without sacrificing access to local conveniences.

How to Compare Apartments for Rent in Plano, TX

When narrowing your search, focus on neighborhood fit and apartment features that matter most to you. Plano neighborhoods vary in price and vibe, so filtering listings by commute time, amenities like parking and laundry, and lease terms is essential.

  • Neighborhood fit: Consider proximity to your workplace, public transit, and lifestyle preferences.
  • Apartment type: Decide between studios, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom layouts based on space needs and budget.
  • Amenities: Look for apartments with parking, laundry, or other features that add convenience.
  • Lease terms: Evaluate options for short term, month-to-month, or sublease apartments if flexibility is important.

Filtering by these criteria on Roomster will help you zero in on apartments that balance cost, comfort, and commute.

What Lease and Budget Factors Matter Most in Plano, TX?

Budgeting for an apartment in Plano means considering more than just monthly rent. Security deposits, application fees, and credit checks are common components of the rental process. While exact costs vary by landlord and neighborhood, expect deposits that reflect the apartment size and lease length.

Lease terms can range from traditional year-long agreements to shorter, more flexible month-to-month or sublease arrangements. If you need short-term housing, look specifically for listings that mention these terms. Keep in mind that furnished apartments or those closer to transit and downtown areas may carry a higher price tag, so balance your budget with desired convenience.

How to Avoid Costly Rental Mistakes in Plano, TX

Rental scams and misunderstandings can derail your apartment search, so take precautions. Use Roomster’s ID check and address check features when available to confirm listing authenticity. Always communicate through the platform when possible and avoid wiring money or paying deposits before seeing the apartment in person or confirming the landlord’s legitimacy.

Review lease terms carefully and ask questions about utilities, maintenance responsibilities, and move-in dates. Request a copy of the lease to read thoroughly before signing. reviewing the landlord’s contact information and the apartment’s condition during a visit helps ensure a safe and smooth rental experience.

When to Start Searching Apartments for Rent in Plano, TX?

Timing your apartment search in Plano can impact availability and pricing. Starting your search one to two months before your intended move-in date is generally wise, as many landlords begin listing units around this timeframe. For sublease or short-term apartments, availability might be more immediate but also more competitive.

Using Roomster’s filters to set move-in dates and lease length can help you identify apartments that match your timing needs. Setting up alerts for new listings in your preferred neighborhoods ensures you don’t miss out on suitable options.
