Sublet on Eastlake Terrace
Gesamte Unterkunft | North Eastlake Terrace, North Side, Chicago, IL, USA
Hi there! I’m putting my apartment up for sublet in Roger’s park. Earliest move in would be Aug 16. Lease ends Feb 1. It’s a 2 bed 1 bath nicely updated unit. $2100 plus $275 for the parking space lease if you need it. Laundry is one flight down and there are 8 machines. Front window can see the sunrise in the morning over Lake Michigan. Dishwasher and stainless steel appliances, wall AC unit. Pets allowed. The description says 737 sq ft but it’s closer to 900. I think you will need to make 3X rent or proof of funds to qualify. I honestly loved this place I just bought a condo nearby that I can better fit in. DM me if you’re interested and I can give you instructions on how to apply.

How many apartments for rent are available in Naperville, IL right now?
Roomster currently shows 59 active apartment listings in Naperville. That inventory typically spans Downtown Naperville, the Route 59 corridor, Naper Boulevard, Ogden Avenue, and the areas near the I-88 tollway and the BNSF Metra stations, with renters comparing neighborhoods by rent, commute, and parking. Fresh apartment listings move fast when priced near market rate with clear notes on parking, in-unit laundry, and amenities.
What are the best Naperville neighborhoods to rent an apartment?
For a walkable setup, many renters start with Downtown Naperville and the Historic District, close to the Riverwalk, dining, and the Naperville Metra station. Naper Boulevard and the Ogden Avenue corridor appeal to those who want newer complexes with parking. The Route 59 area, White Eagle, and Ashwood offer more space and value near the second Metra stop and I-88, while Cress Creek and Saybrook suit renters who prefer quieter, established surroundings.
How much does an apartment for rent cost in Naperville?
Across current Roomster listings, apartment rent in Naperville typically ranges studios: $1,300-$1,700/month; 1-bedroom: $1,500-$2,000/month; 2-bedroom: $1,950-$2,600/month. Downtown Naperville and newer Naper Boulevard complexes run toward the higher end; areas out along Route 59, Ogden Avenue, and Ashwood tend to offer value. Parking, in-unit laundry, modern finishes, and walking distance to the Metra account for the largest premiums.
Can I find furnished or no broker fee apartments in Naperville?
Yes. Furnished apartments and direct-to-landlord listings both appear on Roomster, especially near Downtown Naperville, Edward Hospital, North Central College, and the Nokia Bell Labs campus where corporate transfers, traveling healthcare staff, and students create steady demand. That helps people relocating for work or unwilling to furnish a place from scratch. Just compare the full move-in cost - rent, deposit, parking, utilities, and any building fees - not only the advertised rent.
What should I look for before renting an apartment in Naperville?
Before renting in Naperville, check Metra commute time, parking cost and availability, whether utilities are included, in-unit laundry, pet policy, and lease terms. In this market, those practical details often matter more than polished marketing copy, especially when you are comparing walkable, pricier options in Downtown Naperville with more spacious, value-oriented complexes near Route 59 or Ogden Avenue.
What is the best apartment finder app in Naperville, IL?
Roomster is one of the top apartment finder options in Naperville. It connects renters with individual landlords across Downtown Naperville, Naper Boulevard, the Route 59 corridor, Cress Creek, and beyond - with ID screening and no broker fees.
Finding an Apartment for Rent in Naperville, IL: Key Neighborhood and Lease Insights
Searching for an apartment for rent in Naperville, IL requires balancing your budget, preferred neighborhood, and lease flexibility. Whether you are a professional, a couple, or relocating, understanding how various apartment types and locations align with your daily needs can help you make an informed decision. This guide covers practical considerations from studio and one-bedroom options to pet-friendly units and commute convenience in Naperville.
What Kind of Apartment Search Makes Sense in Naperville, IL
Naperville offers diverse rental options that suit different lifestyles and budgets. Studios and one-bedroom apartments are popular among professionals and couples who value privacy and manageable living costs. You might also find furnished or unfurnished units depending on your preference for move-in ease or personalization.
Consider the neighborhood fit carefully, as areas closer to downtown typically provide better access to public transit and amenities but may come with higher rent. More residential neighborhoods might offer more space and parking options, which can be important for commuters or pet owners.
How to Compare Apartments for Rent in Naperville, IL
Narrowing your search by neighborhood helps align your apartment choice with your lifestyle and commute needs. For example, apartments near downtown Naperville often have shorter commutes and greater walkability, while those in outlying neighborhoods might provide more affordable rent and additional building amenities like parking.
When filtering listings, pay attention to lease terms, pet policies, and included amenities. Consider if the apartment offers short term or month-to-month leases if you need flexibility.
- Check if parking is included, especially if you commute by car.
- Look for pet-friendly apartments if you have pets.
- Review building amenities such as laundry facilities and security features.
What Lease and Budget Factors Matter Most
Budgeting for an apartment in Naperville involves more than just monthly rent. Upfront costs like security deposits, application fees, and credit checks can add to your initial expenses. Prepare your documents in advance to streamline the application process.
Lease lengths vary from standard one-year agreements to shorter or month-to-month options. If your move-in date is flexible or uncertain, prioritize listings that offer lease flexibility. Apartments with no fee listings can reduce initial costs, but always confirm the full terms.
How to Avoid Costly Rental Mistakes in Naperville, IL
Protect yourself by being cautious with payments and communication. Avoid sending money before signing a lease or confirming details with the landlord or property manager in person or through trusted platforms.
Roomster provides ID check and address check features for apartment listings, helping you confirm listing legitimacy. Always review lease agreements carefully and ask about maintenance responsibilities, utilities, and additional fees before committing.
