Looking for Roomate

Roommate | Surprise, AZ, USA

Hi everyone! My name is Joe and I am a 22 year old nature fanatic currently living in Ohio. I’m here, looking for a couple of roommates (male or female) that I can vibe with in St. George, Utah. If you’re interested at all, please feel free to read through this post and DM me any questions or concerns at all regarding living with me—I’m an open book! I am a work-focused, clean person and I take my health and sleep quite seriously. Given that I have a cat, I certainly need roommates that will be okay with everything that comes with living with a pet, and will hopefully be responsible animal lovers. For work, I am a painter. My father owns a painting business, so I’ve basically worked with him on and off for my whole life. I’m also working on building a web service business, but painting is my main thing right now. Making videos is a hobby of mine, so huge bonus points if you’re someone who does social media or video creation as a hobby—that’s definitely something that would help us get along! Probably looking to move into a 3 or 4 bedroom place, as I’d like to be around 750/month per person, and want to live in a safe area. In all honesty, I have yet to visit St. george so I’m not too familiar with it, but I’d definitely fly out beforehand so we can get to know each other. My goal is to move in less than a year (probably about 6 months) and am starting the search now so that I can make sure that I have roommates that get along well. I don’t care if you’re a guy or a girl btw, I just care about whether or not we would get along.

That pool includes people targeting Arrowhead, Downtown Glendale, Westgate, Thunderbird, Sahuaro Ranch, and the Loop 101 corridor, because roommate searches here follow commute fit, school or work location, and rent budget more than strict neighborhood lines.

  • Which Glendale areas are best for finding a roommate?

For shared housing, many renters start near Midwestern University, Glendale Community College, and Thunderbird School of Global Management where student and young-professional demand is steady. Arrowhead and Arrowhead Ranch pull renters who want newer homes and quiet streets, while Downtown Glendale and Westgate attract people who like walkable dining and entertainment. Roomster's roommate finder lets you filter all of these by budget, lifestyle, and move-in date.

  • How much do roommates in Glendale typically pay?

A two-bedroom split 50/50 in Arrowhead or near Westgate might run $1,500-$1,900 total, so each roommate pays $750-$950. A similar split in Downtown Glendale or Sahuaro Ranch could be $1,200-$1,500 total, or $600-$750 per person - a real monthly difference for students and young professionals.

  • What should I put in my Glendale roommate profile?

A strong Glendale roommate profile lists your rent budget, move-in date, neighborhood preferences, school or workplace location, pet situation, and lifestyle priorities (e.g., 'Midwestern University student, prefer near Arrowhead, clean and quiet' or 'work in Phoenix, easy Loop 101 commute, social on weekends'). On a roommate finder like Roomster, practical fit and commute compatibility usually matter more than a long lifestyle pitch.

  • How do I know a roommate in Glendale is who they say they are?

Roomster profiles include ID and address screening, so you can browse the roommate finder with more confidence. Still, always message through the platform first, video chat before committing, and set up an in-person walkthrough of the place. Meeting in a public spot first is smart in any fast-moving West Valley rental market where scams can occur.
