Relocated here and need a room asap
زميل سكن | San Diego, CA, USA
Greetings, my name is Derek Nelson. I'm from Muncie, Indiana, currently reside in Anderson, Indiana and work for the Damien Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. However, unfortunately torrential devastating rains, flooding and weather have pretty much destroyed all of Central Indiana and the rest of the state along with a lot of the country. I fled out here and I've been waiting for a few minutes assistants. I just have to have a roof over my head with an address that I can receive mail and that way they can coordinate everything and start dispersing all the aid that they provide for everything so I can get settled and established here. So what I'm doing is looking for a room to rent that's safe, clean and secure for me and my two girls. My two cats I served in the Gulf war. I have a little bit of PTSD, their emotional support, pets, and they're certified and they would never leave the room that I'm in. I'm very clean meticulous and my girls are fully vaccinated. They do not have fleas and they do not destroy anything. They're Mike companions and I'm their companion. They're here with me now so those are my only stipulations and so please give back with me when you have and answer anybody. And I'm not picky everybody's beautiful and I'm just here to do good work and try to save as many lights as I can. So thank you for your time. Namaste

Samantha, 23
ISO housing and roommates
زميل سكن | Coronado, CA, USA
My name is Sam, I'm 23 years old, and I recently moved to Southern California from Hawaii after accepting a position as a Pastry Cook at Hotel del Coronado. I'm currently looking for roommates who would be interested in renting a house together. I also come with three wonderful pets:• A 6-year-old, 55 lb German Shepherd mix • A 5-year-old, 65 lb Terrier mix • A sweet 1-year-old catAll three pets are very well-behaved, professionally trained, and a huge part of my life. Both dogs are ESAs and have official paperwork. I'm committed to being a responsible pet owner and will handle all pet-related expenses, including pet deposits, fees, cleaning, and maintenance. I clean up after them regularly and make sure they don't impact the comfort of others in the home. I'm primarily looking in areas that are within about 20 minutes of Hotel del Coronado, including Imperial Beach, Chula Vista, North Park, and nearby neighborhoods. My budget is around $2,000 per month, including any pet-related rent or fees. If you're looking for a clean, responsible, friendly roommate and are interested in teaming up to find a great house, feel free to reach out! I'd love to connect and see if we'd be a good fit.

الأسئلة الشائعة
How many people are looking for roommates in San Diego, CA right now?
Roomster currently shows 801 active roommate profiles in the San Diego market. The search pool usually includes people targeting North Park, Hillcrest, Pacific Beach, Mission Valley, UTC, La Jolla, Downtown, and College Area, plus nearby neighborhoods with the same commute logic. That makes San Diego a very location-sensitive roommate market rather than a one-size-fits-all city search.
Which San Diego areas are best for finding a roommate?
For a more connected city lifestyle, most renters start with North Park, Hillcrest, Normal Heights, Little Italy, and Downtown. Pacific Beach is one of the busiest shared-housing zones because renters split higher coastal costs, while UTC and La Jolla stay active around UCSD. Mission Valley and Clairemont work well for central access, and College Area remains one of the strongest roommate markets near SDSU.
How do I find a roommate near UCSD, SDSU, or Downtown San Diego?
If you want to live near UCSD, focus on UTC, La Jolla, University City, and nearby trolley-linked areas. For SDSU, start with College Area, Rolando, and nearby parts of La Mesa. If Downtown San Diego is the priority, widen the search to Little Italy, East Village, Bankers Hill, Hillcrest, and Mission Valley so you are comparing real commute options instead of just city labels.
What should I put in my San Diego roommate profile?
A strong San Diego roommate profile should clearly list budget, move-in date, preferred neighborhoods, parking needs, pet situation, work or class schedule, and whether you want beach, campus, or central-city access. In San Diego, those details matter because a match that looks good on rent alone can fail once the commute or parking reality shows up. Specific profiles usually get better responses than generic ones.
What is the best roommate finder app for San Diego, CA?
Roomster works especially well for San Diego because you can filter roommate demand by budget, move-in date, validation status, and neighborhood before you start messaging. That matters in a city where Pacific Beach, North Park, UTC, La Jolla, Mission Valley, Hillcrest, and College Area all attract different renter profiles. Better local filtering usually means fewer dead-end conversations.
How to Use a Roommate Finder in San Diego, CA for a Commute-Friendly Match
Finding the right roommate in San Diego, CA can feel overwhelming, especially when balancing factors like commute, lifestyle, and budget. A roommate finder in San Diego, CA helps simplify this process by connecting you with compatible individuals seeking shared living arrangements. Whether you're a student near campus, a professional commuting downtown, or someone working from home, knowing what to look for will help you secure a living situation that fits your daily needs and personal preferences.
What Makes San Diego, CA a Good Place to Use a Roommate Finder?
San Diego’s diverse neighborhoods and varied transit options make it ideal for many types of roommates. From the bustling areas near downtown to quieter residential neighborhoods, you’ll find options that suit students, young professionals, and remote workers alike. When using a roommate finder in San Diego, CA, consider your daily commute and lifestyle needs. For example, if you rely on public transit or prefer walkability, focus on neighborhoods with strong transit access. Additionally, budget considerations vary widely across the city, so identifying areas that align with your financial plan is key to a successful roommate match.
How Can You Narrow Down Roommates in San Diego, CA Effectively?
With many options available, it helps to refine your search based on key factors like neighborhood fit and lifestyle compatibility. Use your roommate finder to filter listings by location, such as proximity to campus or downtown, and by housing style like shared apartments or house shares. Pay attention to roommate preferences related to noise level, pets, and work-from-home schedules. Filtering by these entities ensures you find a roommate whose habits and needs align with yours. Practical tips include setting clear priorities for your commute time and preferred living environment to avoid surprises after moving in.
What Questions Should You Ask Before Committing to a Roommate in San Diego, CA?
Before finalizing any arrangement, it's important to discuss key topics that affect daily living. Ask about work schedules, guests, cleanliness, pet ownership, and communication style to gauge compatibility. Clarify expectations around shared expenses and household responsibilities. Also, consider discussing the move-in date and lease terms to ensure alignment. These conversations help avoid misunderstandings and foster a smoother living experience. Remember, a roommate agreement tailored to your shared living situation can be a useful tool to outline these details.
How Can You Make Your Roommate Search Safer and Smarter in San Diego, CA?
Safety and trust are crucial when sharing a home. Use the ID check and address check features offered by Roomster to confirm the legitimacy of listings and profiles. Be cautious about sending money or personal information before meeting a potential roommate in person or through a trusted video call. Communicate clearly through the platform to keep a record of conversations. Trust your instincts and take time to get to know your potential roommate to reduce risks. These practices help ensure a secure and positive roommate search experience.
