Hi, I’m Joshua—gay, 39, and a working professional. I’m renting the second bedroom in my apartment and looking for a considerate housemate who enjoys a calm home. Available as of November 1st THE ROOM / $1,350 PER MONTH / NO ADDITIONAL PETS Rent includes:

• Wi-Fi
• Weekly housekeeping The room is unfurnished and comfortably fits a king-size bed, dresser, and nightstands. It has two huge windows with blinds and a closet. THE APARTMENT Bright and sunny, with one shared bathroom, kitchen, living room, and dining area. The home has the appliances and household essentials you’ll need. You’re renting the bedroom not the common spaces though you may use the common areas. I mostly work a 9–5, though my schedule varies. I’m usually up between 5–7 a.m. and home between 5–8 p.m. Sometimes I keep working from home until 9–10 p.m. HOUSEKEEPING My housekeeper comes weekly and cleans the common spaces and both bedrooms. Leave out clean sheets and she can change your linens too. You’ll need to allow her into your room each week to sweep and mop, at a minimum. We still clean up after ourselves between visits. TIMMY Timmy is my 6-pound, 9-year-old Chihuahua. He’s affectionate, trusting, and with me about 90% of the time, but occasionally stays home alone. You must enjoy small dogs and treat him kindly. Any mistreatment is an immediate deal breaker. No additional pets. THE VIBE I keep a peaceful home. No yelling, slamming doors, or other BS. If your relationships regularly involve shouting matches, loud phone arguments, or partners showing up unannounced to cause a scene, this won’t be a good fit. We don’t have to be best friends, but we should communicate, respect each other, and feel comfortable sharing a home. My apartment is my sanctuary, and I want it to feel that way for both of us.
