Recently retired teacher seeks room for the months when I visit grandkids in North Haledon (5 minute commute would be ideal!) my permanent residence is in Durham, NC however my daughter is a silversmith and she and her husband often need to travel to vending events and that is when I need to be available to care for my two granddaughters. So, not a definitive “ snowbird” lifestyle but close. She usually needs me during July- December. I'm willing to pay my rent regardless if I'm using the room or not. I travel light, but my ( lb) havapoo travels with me! She is crate/houhse trained and only barks when someone is at the door. I am currently in very large basement apart but need to vacate by Jan 1. (owner is selling ) I have leather furniture that reclines(teal) with a matching Persian rug, TV on stand, 1 end table and coffee table, miscellaneous small pieces —- kitchen items etc. Also I have a full sized antique brass bed, wicker rocker and a large bakers rack that can all go to the new roommates or Landlord. (No strings attached!) . I don't need it as my townhome is fully furnished. Or it can stay here if its not needed at new location so it isn't a problem either way.
