Hi! I’m Jakob, 18 years old and from Austria. I’m moving to Melbourne in September for around 10–11 months, where I’ll be doing a structured volunteer placement as part of an Austrian international service program. My schedule can vary a little, but I’ll generally be working during the week. I’m pretty easy-going, social and independent. In my free time I enjoy going to the gym, travelling, exploring new places, grabbing a coffee or going out with friends. I’ve already spent some time in Australia, including Sydney, and loved it, so I’m really excited to experience Melbourne properly and actually settle into life there. As a flatmate, I’m clean, respectful and mindful of shared spaces. I’m happy doing my own thing, but I’d also really like to live with people I get along with — having a chat, cooking together occasionally or going out for something would be great. I’m looking for a comfortable, friendly share house or apartment with good public transport connections, ideally somewhere I can call home for the full 10–11 months.
