Professional man holding a lovely home alone in Takoma Park, Md, now in early retirement after a long career in the international aid industry. I am seeking suitably compatible applicants who would like to enjoy a cooperative, inter-generational housing arrangement. Housemate would possibly be younger professionals, getting established in the world, ecologically and spiritually appreciative. Some domestic home and yard care, computer and canine care aptitudes and experiences would be valuable. My home is full of lovely art pieces, has a back deck where one can hold social fires while there is an attractive, easy to manage yard. Located @1 mile from the Takoma Park Metro Redline with yoga studios, coops, walking trails nearby. One bedroom in the main house with a trundle bed and primary claim to a second bathroom a shared study would be your primary space, but you will have access to, and expected to help me look after, the entire house. Not a lot of storage space beyond clothes could easily be provided. Within such a subsidized, longer-term housing sharing any [REDACTED] independently while also responsibly able to help me look after regular—and pretty easy!--home, yard and dog care needs while we are living there and during my travel absences which could be several months of the year when you would have the entire house. Likely start date would be April 1st for at least months and likely extending into a month or even longer arrangement.
