Vila Maria, our cozy loft in Williamsburg, reflects my wife’s ancestry in Brazil, my own in Basel, Switzerland, and our eclectic life here in New York City.

You will love our neighborhood, I can promise you that. It features many fine little shops and charming restaurants, 5 excellent supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, and even a big Apple Store just two blocks away. By subway, you will be from our house at NYU/Union Square downtown in about half an hour, or by ferryboat down at Wall Street.

So, if you would like to live in a very cool and safe neighborhood, check out what we have on offer. We practically live on the waterfront, with priceless sunsets at the parks up and down the East River.

All my bedrooms feature a full-size or queen-size bed, a nightstand or two, plenty of shelving, drawers, hangers, a full-size mirror, a desk, and a swiveling TV/computer monitor that you can hook up to your laptop with an HDMI cable. They come fully furnished and are all tastefully decorated. We all share the dining and living areas, the kitchen, bathrooms, the laundry facility, and the roof garden.

Please forgive me for the messed-up sequence of the photographs. Unfortunately, this application does not let me correct it.

Casa Japonesa, my biggest and best guest room, will become available around December fifth, and will cost hundred dollars, plus eighty dollars for utilities.
