I am looking to *sublet* the second bedroom in my Munjoy Hill two bedroom apartment. My current roommate is moving out and I am looking to fill the vacancy for October (with flexibility up to October ).
For one person the monthly rent will be $/2) + electric (~$) and compost ($). I will be asking for a security deposit (a small portion of one months rent) upon moving in along with signing a sublease agreement. If a couple moves into the room, we can split the rent 3 ways equally ($). To be clear, the total rent for the apartment is $. I am a school teacher and simply cannot split down the middle. I totally understand if unequal amounts of pay does not seem fair to you, but given how much I can contribute to rent, my cap is $.
It is a third floor, small office space (great if you wfh & it is empty can be entirely yours) one bathroom apartment with washer and dryer in the unit. Living spaces are furnished. The apartment also provides limited off-street parking, but on street parking is always readily available and free. There is a small backyard with a fire pit, picnic table, and flower/garden area that my partner and I spend a lot of time working on.
To get to know me:
I am years old and teach in Portland Public Schools. I love to ski, hike, camp, play soccer, listen to music, etc. I’m pretty active and spend a lot of time outside the apartment, but I have also lived here for 5+ years and do appreciate spending time in the space. Overall, I am pretty easy going and want a roommate that will respect me and the apartment and contribute to cleaning shared spaces. In addition, it is a quiet building so I’m not interested in bringing in someone who wants to have lots of people over often. I don’t have any pets, but would happily welcome a cat into the home :)
