I’ve been skateboarding for 22 years, that’s legit all I do and want to do creatively or desire to do. My life is incredibly specific due to a horrific head injury where I broke my neck when I was 17, it’s not detrimental now, but it does affect Me. It’s a conversation that must happen between me and the people I’m involved with. I don’t need free passes for life, you need the context to understand why I’m alive. My job fired me before thanksgiving 2025 over how my head injury affects me. Without accommodations given to me, they tried to label me incompetent. I am not. I am affected. I *must* apply to jobs with disability and not a single job in KCMO has taken me seriously, believed me, or decided to hire me in 4 months. I lost my apartment because I was unable to pay my rent over the lack of employment. I am dying to find a job, my car was stolen last year when I moved here last year, I have no family or friends near me, I NEED a place to stay. I have some money to pay rent. I just need someone to understand why I don’t have a lot of money left. I need a place to stay so I can find a job.
