A room is opening up in our canal-side flat overlooking Victoria Park. Our current flatmate is moving out, so we’re looking for someone new to join us around beginning of July-ish. The room is furnished with a mattress, bed frame, wardrobe, small desk & chair but if you come with your own furniture none of what we currently have is precious so can be moved on too. It’s a really lovely spot it’s second floor, big windows, a balcony off the living room over the canal facing the park, and a 15–20 min walk through the park to Hackney Wick or 15 min walk Mile End. Number 8 bus stop is basically outside which goes to Bethnal Green in 10 mins too. We have secure off street parking and direct access to the canal if people like kayaking etc. The room is £950 + bills (£180) monthly. All boring flat basic things like cleaning products, loo roll etc. are all on and included. You’d be living with me (Faith,29) and my fiancé, (Hayden,31), both working professionals (I work remotely in admin, Hayden is a Director of Photography) and our little dog Gus (half Whippet half Boarder Terrier full time couch potato), who will be suspicious of you for about 48 hours and then be fully obsessed. We’re pretty relaxed and like keeping the flat relaxed too but still sociable. As a flat we sometimes cook together, host dinners, go to the pub, do a quiz night, markets in Victoria Park, but we also do our own thing. We’re looking for someone who’s also pretty relaxed about things, cleanish, considerate, if you’re creative could work well since we both work on creative projects (film, tv, exhibitions), but as long as you’re someone who understands and loves dogs (because Gus will love you) we’ll get on. No couples, no more pets sorry! (Gus is an only child) If it sounds like your kind of place, give us a message and tell us a bit about yourself!
