ISO ROOMATE in Uptown/Montrose

Hi! My name is Rez. I moved to Chicago in July after a 7-year stint in Boston. I’m and graduated from Boston University in . I am looking for a roommate to accompany me and my cat, Mr. Sushi, in my 2-bed apartment in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. I’m currently a dog walker/pet sitter, but I’m looking to get a restaurant job to hold me over until I attend grad school in the fall.

The apartment is fully furnished, and I’m only going to charge $ for the extra room in my apartment. You would only be responsible for furnishing your room. I am very comfortable sharing, as long as you treat my belongings with respect. I am a very clean person, and I would like a roommate who is clean and organized.

I would prefer to live with another queer person of color (I am Bangladeshi, but I also speak Spanish and love to practice languages), but I’m open to anyone. I practice music from the time and like to play music out loud but not super loud or anything. I have a partner who is over 2x a week, but that number varies from week to week. I also am normally out 1x a week at her place in Hyde Park. I also have made friends in the building I live in, and I will make sure to let a potential roommate know when others will be in the house. I am amiable and flexible, but I am also direct and prefer someone who is okay with being reminded of tasks we previously agreed on. I love communicating and am seeking someone easygoing, active, and rational like me!

Lastly, my senior cat has been a really good sport in Chicago, but occasionally, I may ask a potential roommate to help me out with taking care of the little guy. He is a friendly and sweet cat, and he will love you as soon as he meets you. I prefer people who are previous pet owners/ have a knack with animals and are okay with helping me with minute pet care tasks.
