🏠 Seeking NoVA Rental for Reliable Couple – Move-In Ready! ($1,400–$1,600)
Hi everyone! My wife and I are looking for our very first apartment together in the Northern Virginia area (Alexandria, Springfield, Arlington, or surrounding areas with a decent commute to DC). We are looking for a 1 Bed/1 Bath, a 1 Bed/1 Bath with a Den, or a 2 Bed/1 Bath. Our target budget is $1,400 – $1,600 a month, and we are hoping to find a private landlord, basement apartment, or condo owner who is open to working with our specific situation: Stable, Strong Income: My wife works full-time (Mon–Fri) in Washington, DC as a preschool teacher. She brings home $2,350 every two weeks (approx. $4,700/month), so we have more than enough verified income to comfortably cover rent. I am currently transitioning through my Green process, so she is our primary earner at the moment. Rental & Credit History: We have rental debt and a clean history. Her credit score is currently between 500–600 due to some past personal debt we are working through, but we are incredibly reliable tenants. Deposit Flexibility: Because we are looking to move without a massive upfront security deposit, we are very happy to negotiate and pay an extra $100–$200 on top of the monthly rent instead, if that works better for you!
