Hello!

My name is Mel ( she/they) and my partner is Nick ( he/him), we are seeking a roommate to live with us in our 3 BR duplex in the Irvington neighborhood in NE Portland. We are laidback, queer friendly people who seek to create a relaxing and comfortable home environment. Nick works in the live event industry as a stage crew worker and Mel is studying Public Health at PSU and works part time at a restaurant. We have one adult cat and would prefer no other animals, although we could potentially make it work as long as we keep them sectioned off from each other with attentive prevention of them crossing paths.

Your main quarters would be in a basement unit which is separate from the rest of the house. It has its own separate side door entrance which leads down the stairs where there is the private bedroom, private living room, private bathroom and shared laundry (shared with 2 people). It has access through another door at the top of the stairs into the rest of the unit where you have access to use the shared kitchen.

Looking for someone who would like to take advantage of the separate levels providing more privacy. We like to socialize in passing and possible shared dinners occasionally, so no need to feel nervous about using shared spaces! Since the laundry is in the basement we like to give courtesy notices before entering the basement to use the washer in dryer (at least a few hours notice, or the day before if possible). The unit has electric heat and a spacious shared backyard with the neighbor. Street parking only.

Move in date will be January 6th or possibly sooner.

You will need the ability to pass a background check and go through the property management to get on the lease.
