Hello! I have a room for rent in the lovely Astoria apartment where I’ve lived for years. It’s a spacious, split-level apartment with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms. First floor has eat-in kitchen, living room, and full bathroom. Second floor has the two bedrooms, half bath, and a small middle room between the two bedrooms that we’ve used as a workspace or a gym. About the room:
- Rent is $1075/month.
- You would be added to the lease for 1 year, starting 9/15/2026.
- 1-month security deposit required to move in.
- Heat, water, and gas are included. Electricity and WiFi are about $85 per person per month.
- Apartment is about a 3-min walk from laundromat, 5-min walk from subway, and 10-min walk from two supermarkets.
- We have a private outdoor space (a small back patio)! About me:
- Cis gay woman in my late 30s. Good communicator with lots of experience living with roommates.
- I work from home, 9-5, so it’s usually chill and quiet around here.
- I like to keep the common areas minimalist and very clean, split the chores 50/50, standard respectful roommate stuff. Happy to talk about all this in more detail if you’re interested in the room.
