Private Room Near Studio City

Description

We have one open room in our 4-bedroom townhouse in Valley Village, with a shared bathroom. It’s on the first floor and will come unfurnished. We are looking for a single person (female or GNC/enby) to fill the room, month to month but want to find someone who wants to stay long term. We have a washer and dryer in-unit (huge plus in LA, amirite?), central heat & air (another bonus, oh yeah!), the complex is gated with a community pool AND jacuzzi (mostly families, safe & quiet). Great location - minutes from the 101 and 170, close to Sherman Oaks, North Hollywood, Studio City- restaurants, Rite Aid, markets, and liquor stores within walking distance and street parking. Rent for the room is $847/month plus utilities. We split SoCal gas, DWP, and internet equally among housemates. The total move-in costs are first month’s rent plus a deposit of $720. The owner is looking for proof of income, good credit, and financial stability (really important) and will require a background check. There are 3 of us (everyone has their own room) and we are in our mid-20s to early 30s. We are friendly, laid-back, considerate, and responsible. A couple of us work from home so we ask that our new roommate respects our quiet work environment. Because of this, we prefer someone who works outside the home. (a typical 9-5 job would work best). If you have a hybrid schedule we can still chat. Your room is your business, but the common areas are kept tidy, which is especially a priority in the kitchen. We are also looking to keep the living situation to 4 people only. Sorry, no couples or live-in partners. And unfortunately, we’re not looking to add any pets to the household at this time. This is a queer-friendly, anti-racist house. 💜 We ask that you are fully vaccinated and boosted, and that roommates commit to transparent, open communication about their exposure levels and high-risk activities.
