Teacher 33F with Cat

Hello! I'm moving to Charlottesville in July and looking to live with two roommates, preferably 25+ professionals / post-grad students. I am budgeting for $800-$1,000 for housing, not counting utilities or internet. My target area is around Barrack Rugby or close by, with no real preference for whether it is an apartment, townhouse, or house. I am an ESL teacher who likes writing, swimming, language study, impromptu karaoke and dance, and playing music. My primary instrument is cello, but I've got a decent collection of instruments that I don’t mind knowledgable roommates fiddling with. I am very respectful of roommates’ quiet hours and feelings on hearing me practice. I have one adult cat who is friendly with people, but does not get along with animals. She is a cuddlebug once she gets to know you:) I’m interested in roommates who keep common spaces tidy and who are clear communicators that directly address any issues or concerns before they escalate. I’m friendly and love chat, common mealtimes, and gamenights, but I will be prioritizing our relationships as housemates above making friends. I would especially appreciate roommates who are environmentally conscious concerning minimizing waste and open to composting. My housing criteria is: (1) in-unit laundry, (2) 1.5 or more bathrooms, (3) sufficient counter space for cooking, (4) ample natural light, and (5) low-maintenance property.
