An old soul with a young heart 💜

I'm an incredibly driven yr old, single woman, with 2 grown children out-of-state, working F/T delivering for Amazon. I'm working to become a business owner & inventor (once I meet the right mentor).
I moved to the PNW from Florida & have been sober since. I'm heavily engaged in my recovery community & have finally found a new way to live. Being told, "you don't have to be a product of your environment...& here's how" was the most liberating statement I've ever heard!
Today I practice gratitude, self-love, acceptance & tolerance of the people & things I can't control. I'm respectful of other people's choices as everyone should be granted the opportunity to walk their path & learn their lessons. Even the hard ones to witness. I'm deeply empathetic & care for all living things, as I can feel their pain. I no longer mask my sensitivity & appreciate that it's a gift.
I'm a woman who lives with purpose; on a mission to better herself with every lesson learned. I'm resilient & courageous, a Phoenix rising from the ashes of my past. I live by the following statements:
Be present & do your best at everything you do.
Knowledge is knowing, wisdom is applying.
Don't forget where you came from, but never lose sight of where you're going.
If you can't stop dreaming about it, don't stop working for it.
Take responsibility for your choices & actions. Apologize when you're wrong, advocate for yourself when you've been wronged.
An arrow must be drawn back in order to be thrust forward to its target. If life's pulling you back, it's because there's something meant for you just beyond the horizon you can't see. You merely have to let go to get there.
A mistake is only such when you fail to learn the lesson.
Life is made up of a series of choices & decisions, take risks, but choose wisely. For we can escape reality, but we cannot escape the consequences of reality.
Compete & compare yourself with no one but who you were yesterday, as comparison is the thief of joy.
