Need a place for September only

Hi!
I am arriving in Chicago at end of August and need a place to stay for about one month (preferably 25thAugust till 28th September). I received a research grant in art history and will be busy around West Town. I'm a calm, organised, woman-geek in my early 40. [shy, yet friendly], need an inexpensive room with good communication to my workplace.
I do not smoke, nor drink, nor have allergies. Can't tolerate spiders.
