This is a lovely, well-kept, light-filled and cosy 2-bed apartment in a quiet block set back from the street, away from noise and traffic. There’s a shared outdoor pool in the complex, which is a great bonus in the warmer months. I’ve lived here for almost 3 years, so it’s fully set up with everything you need, including fly screens, air conditioning, a dishwasher, and a collection of handy little extras. 📍 Location
We’re extremely well connected:
* 1–2 min walk to the 412 bus stop + replacement bus to Sydenham Metro
* 5 min walk to Dulwich Hill Metro (opening later this year)
* 5 min walk to light rail We’re also close to plenty of cafés, restaurants, gyms, supermarkets, op shops and bars along Marrickville and Illawarra Road. Nature-wise, we’re a 2-minute walk to Marrickville Golf Course and the Cooks River walk, plus a great pub nearby with good food and cheap drinks. 🛏️ The room
The room easily fits a queen bed plus additional furniture and has a built-in wardrobe. It gets lots of natural light from a large window, with Venetian blinds and a blackout curtain for full darkness when needed. The photos show it previously furnished — it’s currently being used as my office and will be cleared for a new housemate. My desk will move into the dining area, and I’m happy to coordinate shared workspace needs. 📒 A few notes * I see my home as a sanctuary, so I’m looking for someone who values a calm, respectful and relaxed environment. Visitors are totally fine, but not a constant flow of people in and out.
* I’m allergic to cats and dogs, so unfortunately no full-time pets (occasional dog sitting is fine).
* Cleanliness and respect for shared spaces is really important to me. 👋 About me
I’m 28 and work in the public service, mostly from home, with flexible office days in the city. I love board games, trivia nights, wine nights, and good conversations with plenty of laughs. I’m not a big party person and prefer a relaxed home life.
