Hi! I’m looking for a fellow young professional woman to share my bath apartment! The room will be available starting , but move-in can be as late as January . My current roommate is moving out and I’m looking for someone to take over her half of the lease.

A little about me – I’m a woman in my mid-s, I work as a government contractor, and I’ve lived in the area for almost 3 years. I enjoy playing video games, reading, crocheting, and exploring restaurants and attractions around the area. I work from home two days a week, and even though I tend to keep to myself, I’d like to become friends or at least friendly with my roommate. I’m looking for someone who’s friendly, laidback, and keeps the shared spaces clean.

The apartment is in Alexandria, a 7-minute drive to the Huntington Metro and a -minute drive to DC. There’s a bus stop in front of the building, and the area has a variety of restaurants and shopping centers within walking or short driving distance. Building amenities include a gym, parking garage, business center, pool, game room, several lounge areas, and a courtyard with firepits and grills. Apartment details below:

- Spacious private bathroom with a shower
- Large walk-in closet
- Open concept kitchen (including a dishwasher)
- Partially furnished shared living space
- Full-size washer and dryer in the apartment
- Cat friendly; I plan to get a cat, so if you have a cat(s) to bring, great! No dogs, please!
- Garage parking ($ a month)

Rent is split evenly, with each of us being responsible for about $ a month, which includes utilities and parking. There’s no security deposit, but management requires $ application fee and a $ charge for adding a new person to the existing lease. The current lease ends in March , and I plan to renew. I’d prefer a roommate that plans to stay for at least 6 months, but we can discuss timelines if you’re interested.
