Housing Search - PhD Fellow at USHMM (June–August) Hi everyone! My name is Deep Acharya and I’m a PhD student in History at UW-Madison. I’ll be in DC this summer for a three-month residential fellowship at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) and I’m looking for a sublet! Timing: I am looking for a spot from June 1st through August 31st. Budget: Ideally around $1,200/month. Happy to discuss utilities! Location: Since I’ll be based at the Museum, I’m looking for something nearby or with an easy commute. Areas I’m eyeing include: Southwest Waterfront/The Wharf, Capitol Hill, Navy Yard, or anything along the Green/Yellow or Orange/Blue/Silver lines for a quick trip to the National Mall area. A Little About Me: I try to be a focused worker, but I’m also quite social. When I’m not at the archives, I tend to enjoy a quiet night at home cooking or reading. I’m clean, tidy, responsible, and very respectful of shared spaces. What I’m Looking For: • A room in a shared house/apartment or a studio/1-bedroom. • Laundry in unit or building is a must. • Furnished is a huge plus since I’m only there for the summer! • Dishwasher preferred.
