Hi! My name is Char, and I’m looking for someone special to share a really lovely home with. I’m a mom to a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old, and I’m navigating a separation from my husband. We’re doing it with a lot of intention and kindness—low drama, genuinely amicable—but I’m starting to think about what my next chapter looks like, and I’d love to share this home with someone who’s kind, easygoing, and looking for a good living situation (and maybe some genuine community too). About me: I’m an educator and counselor heading back to work this year. I’m extroverted but need my recharge time. I don’t smoke, I drink socially, and have two sweet cats. I’m tidy, but I have a lot of grace for people running on fumes—life happens. I’m very left-leaning, compassionate, and I genuinely believe in the goodness of people. The living situation: Rent is $2,150/month—exactly half of what I pay, so it’s split right down the middle. For that, you get a downstairs space that functions as its own private apartment—large bedroom, living space, private bathroom, and a private entrance. Oh, and there’s AC! A genuine luxury in Shoreline! I’m adding a portable stove so you’ll have everything you need independently. The upstairs common spaces (kitchen, living areas) are absolutely open to you too—this is your home! The only logistics to coordinate are the washer and dryer, also downstairs and out of the way. We can add a lock for your privacy and peace of mind. Timing: My kids’ dad and I are working with a counselor to create a thoughtful transition plan—we’re hoping he’ll have moved out between August and October.
