East Flat Rock Homestead

Hi, my name is Melissa. I am a 33-year old artist and environmental educator. I am looking for a roommate in my East Flat Rock house. The monthly rent is $800 with split utilities and the room is available as soon as July 1st. I am looking for an extroverted and creative roommate to join me, my partner Joe and my pup Indie. The house is a 1,100 sq ft, 3/1 on a half acre lot. The house is in a great location close to everything. Ingles is across the street and it's 5 minute walk to the Flat Rock Park. 5-10 minutes to downtown Hendersonville. 15 mins to local watering holes, waterfalls and the green river. Close to Greenville, Travelers Rest and Asheville. The property has a large fenced backyard outdoor space great for having a fire, hanging out, or gardening! A big back deck where you can see long range mountain views. You can also see 3 huge garden beds and a flower meadow in the spring and summer. I also have a small flock of chickens that free roam and create a nice homestead atmosphere. My ideal person would be someone that loves the outdoors, gardening, creating and sharing a sense of community within the home. I value cleanliness, motivation to help out and open communication. Must be willing to cuddle an active ham of a jack russell named Indie. I would consider you bringing your small chicken friendly dog (Under 50lbs) if it was the right fit but sorry no kitties at this time. I work at a yoga studio, educate kids at camp and after school and do art markets year round on the weekends and usually stay local. My partner Joe is based out of Saluda and has a rigorous workout schedule and is gone most of the day but stays over most nights.
