Hey! I’m a 30-year-old professional looking for a room or roommates in Brooklyn for a September 1 move-in, ideally keeping my budget under $2,000/month. I’ve lived in NYC for about three years and am originally from California. I work remotely in digital marketing and also help run a volunteer nonprofit back in California. Even though I work from home, I’m definitely not someone who stays inside all day — I’m usually working from a coffee shop, exploring the city, traveling, or finding something to do. Outside of work, I’m into running, live music, reading, coffee shops, hiking, exploring new restaurants/neighborhoods, and generally staying active. I’m pretty laid-back and social, but I also appreciate having a home that feels relaxed and comfortable. As a roommate, I’m clean, communicative, respectful of shared spaces, and pretty easygoing. I’m happy to actually be friends with the people I live with — grab a drink, watch something together, explore the neighborhood, etc. — while also respecting that everyone has their own life and needs their own space. I’d ideally love somewhere with good subway access and a neighborhood where I can walk to coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and things to do.
