Looking for housing

Hey everybody! I'm Vaishnavi, an incoming MEng in Computer Science and Applications student at Virginia Tech's Innovation Campus (Alexandria) for Fall 2026, and I'm currently looking for housing and planning to move in around mid-August. I'm interested in a shared apartment / house and am open to either:
• A private room, or
• A shared room with another female roommate My budget is below $1,000 per month. My preference is to stay close to Virginia Tech Academic Building One (Innovation / DC Campus), but I'm also open to other locations in and around Alexandria, Arlington, or nearby areas as long as they have good public transportation access (Metro/bus) to the campus. Requirements/Preferences:
• Female roommates only, preferably vegetarian.
• Shared apartment/house (female-only or mixed-gender household both work for me)
• Easy commute to Academic Building One via public transit
