SUBLET AVAILABLE IN UPWEY:
Hello all, a large and spacious room is available in our lovely Upwey rental from the 17th May – 4th September (approx 3.5 months). The 3-bedroom house sits atop a hill overlooking the forested hills of the Dandenong Ranges National Park. There is lots of natural light in the communal kitchen-living space, a large deck with stunning views and one shared bathroom/laundry. It’s a large (but steep) block of land with lots of native vegetation and garden space. It has solar panels and a battery. The room on offer is the largest of the household with two built-in wardrobes. It comes furnished and is incredibly spacious. Its windows provide natural light and overlook the front garden. Walking to the nearby towns of Upwey and Upper Ferntree Gully takes approx 25 & 18 minutes respectively. From here it’s approximately 1 hour to train into Melbourne’s city centre, along the Belgrave Line. You would be sharing the house with Maya (early twenties), bubbly, energetic and passionate about the environment. She is studying environmental science and has some enclosed pets that she cares for – a fish tank, stick insects and a spotted python (small & non-venomous). The backyards lawn is also attended to by 2 x affectionate goats and a shy sheep. The goats love a pat and a scratch and will come right up to the deck looking for your affection. Rent is $250 per week excluding bills. Bills are a cheap set price and would be split evenly with Maya ($60 each per month). I ask for a bond of one month’s rent $1000. Looking for someone that is respectful, tidy, and that can balance social interaction with privacy and space within the sharehouse. The ideal candidate must be LGBTQ+ friendly. We’re a very environmentally conscious household and are seeking someone aligned in that sense.
