Looking for room in safe location

I’m in my early fourties’, an “empty nester” with grown kids. I moved up to Oxnard for my job as I’m required in the office Tues-Thurs and work remote Mon & Fri. I don’t know many people in the area and keep to myself mostly. I need a safe place to live with good WiFi (software developer so all my work is online). I’m allergic to most pets but as long as they aren’t in my room and the house shared spaces are kept clean, pets are not a problem to me. I’m working to rebuild my credit but I have no BKs or evictions, just debt from my divorce. I don’t cook a lot but access to the fridge and kitchen is needed as I don’t waste money on fast food. I have a Nissan Altima but unfortunately do not drive at this time. I am willing to let roommates use my car for trade with rides a couple times a month to handle my responsibilities. I am a very caring and easy to get along with person. I’m hoping to find a place to stay for a year or longer
