Moving to Queens for New Job

Hi! I'm relocating from Florida to New York for a new full-time job in Far Rockaway. I'm looking to move around October 19th and need a furnished private room while I get settled and look for a permanent apartment for my family.
I'm married with a 10-year-old daughter, but I'll be living by myself initially while my wife and daughter remain in Florida. I'm quiet, clean, respectful, and will be working full-time, so I'm mainly looking for a comfortable place to come home to after work.
I'm ideally looking in Far Rockaway, Queens, Brooklyn, or somewhere with a reasonable public-transit commute to Far Rockaway. My budget is around $800–$1,000 per month, preferably with utilities included and kitchen access.
I'm planning to rent through approximately January or February, although I'm open to discussing the length of stay. I'll be in New York September 30th through October 2nd and would be happy to meet and see the room in person during that time.
