To attract the best roommates or responses on Roomster, it helps to have a profile/listing that really shines. Here are some tips to make your Roomster profile stand out:

Use clear, friendly photos: Upload a few good pictures of yourself (for a roommate profile) and of the room/shared apartment (if you’re listing a place). Bright, clear photos build trust and grab attention. A profile with photos is more likely to be viewed and messaged by others.
Write an engaging description: Introduce yourself and what you’re looking for in a roommate or room. Keep the tone casual and positive. Mention your habits, work schedule, hobbies, and what makes you a great roommate. If you’re listing a room, describe the home and the vibe of the household. Being honest and specific helps you find someone truly compatible.
Set your preferences: Roomster lets you specify things like your ideal move-in date, budget, location, and other preferences. Fill these out! It helps the system match you better and signals to others what you’re looking for. You can even filter searches based on these preferences to save time.
Validate and be responsive: Validate your phone and email, and consider linking a social media account. Validated profiles can instill more confidence. Also, respond to messages promptly and politely. A complete, verified profile plus courteous communication will make people more eager to room with you.

By following these tips, your Roomster profile or listing will not only look legit and appealing but also increase your chances of finding that perfect roommate match. A little effort in showcasing who you are and what you offer goes a long way.
