Looking for a Room/Roommate 🏡 Howdy all — I’m Claire! I’m 31, originally from Central Illinois, and moving to Chicago for a new job in the Humboldt Park area. I graduated from UIUC with my MSW in 2024. 📍 Areas: Humboldt Park preferred, but also open to Hermosa, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Oak Park, and nearby areas
💰 Budget: $1,300/month or less per person

🏠 Looking for: Open to joining an existing lease or finding a roommate/place together A little bit about me: I have an adorable (and hefty) cat named Abel, named for my favorite artist. He’s friendly and does well with other animals when properly introduced. I love music, reading, movies, traveling, cooking at home, and exploring new places. I’m excited to get more active with walking/biking and experience everything city life has to offer — festivals, markets, museums, art shows, nights out, new restaurants, etc. Really, I’m just ready to trade the cornfields for Chicago! I’m LGBTQIA+ friendly, open-minded, and generally pretty easygoing. As a roommate, I’m clean and tidy, especially in shared spaces. I’m usually pretty chill during the week and will have early mornings Monday–Friday, so I’m looking for someone mid-to-late 20s or older who also enjoys quieter weeknights. That said, I’d love roommates who are down to occasionally hang out, cook together, or share a meal! I really value communication and think it’s important to talk about expectations, cleanliness, guests, schedules, and boundaries upfront so everyone feels comfortable in their home.
