Relocating from France + one cat 😺

Hi! I'm Claire 👋
I'm a French science teacher relocating to the DC area in August to teach at a French international school in Bethesda. I'm looking for a room to rent — ideally with a private bathroom — in the Bethesda / Kensington / Silver Spring area, or further up toward Rockville or Gaithersburg. I'd prefer to stay on the Maryland side to avoid crossing the city for my commute.
I'm an introvert at heart, which means I recharge in my own space — but I'm also genuinely easy to talk to and I value good communication in a shared home. I like knowing my housemates and having a friendly, relaxed dynamic, even if we each mostly do our own thing.
Outside of work, you'll mostly find me at the cinema, wandering through a museum, going for a walk, or occasionally hiking. I'm a big film lover and always happy to share recommendations or find a movie night partner. I'm not much of a party person, but I enjoy low-key outings and good company.
I don't smoke, and I tend to keep a calm, tidy household.
I'll be moving with my cat, Okina. She's calm, clean, and very respectful of furniture — no scratching, no mess. 🐱
I'd love to share a home with women, in a warm and respectful atmosphere.
